Freelance experience
I prefer to work within a team and therefore I have been freelancing for high-level design agencies in London. It allows me to brain–storm with like–minded colleagues and further develop my skills. Currently I have been developing my knowledge of ASPX/.net.
about
The space where I get to introduce myself.
I usually describe myself as a freelance front–end web developer but do not believe you can summarise your career within today’s digital world with one job title. I have a jack of all trades persona. I love to learn and understand new technologies, I can adapt my coding styling very quickly when needed and I love talking to people and therefore my communication skills are quite reasonable for a geek! Also I am a typical girl who likes creating pretty things and am always interested in new design trends.
I began working in a small web design studio in Melbourne, Australia called Friday Media. Being such a small size I could learn from a lot of different people and fill in all the gaps. After moving to the UK I worked for a period with BP, which also allowed me to develop my project, client liaison and IA skills before I moved onto freelancing. Freelancing allowed me to develop and specialise in front–end development, which is my strongest quality. I worked at 3 of the top London design agencies such as SAS Design, Reactive Media and AKQA.
I have been in the industry for over three years, playing with code and helping out my friends with their web presence. I have a passion for user experience theory, information architecture and accessibility. If you have any questions about my work or my rates please feel free to contact me.
